PARK ENTRANCES ARE LOCATED ON BROAD ST., GROVE AVE., & HIGH ST.

 

From Providence and Points North

 

- Take Route 95 South to Exit 1 (Westerly)

- At end of exit ramp, bear right onto Route 3 South

- Travel 6 miles, straight ahead, into Westerly

- You will cross a railroad bridge where there is a traffic light (a Bess Eaton doughnut shop will be on your left)

- Proceed straight ahead, past the light to a second traffic light (less than 1/2 mile from the first to second light)

- At second light, turn right (Wilcox Park will be on the right)

- PARK ENTRANCES ARE LOCATED ON BROAD ST., GROVE AVE., & HIGH ST.

 

From South Kingstown & Route 1 South

 

- Follow Route 1 South through Charlestown and Dunns Corners in Westerly

- Continue to traffic light where Route 1 South bears left @ Granite St. (Westerly High School on opposite corner)

- Take left at light and follow to traffic light at junction of Route 3

- Continue straight through light and bear right onto Broad Street (Wilcox Park will be on the right)

From Connecticut and Points South

 

- Take Route 95 North to exit 91 (Stonington)

- At the end of the exit ramp, go straight through the traffic light onto Route 234 (Pequot Trail)

- Travel approximately 5 miles

- At the traffic light, bear left onto Route 1 North

- You will go under a railroad overpass and cross the Pawcatuck River Bridge

- Bear right after the bridge where the road becomes one-way

- Move into the left lane and bear to the first left, passing the police and fire stations to a stop sign

- The Park sits directly across from the stop sign as you return to Route 1

PARKING

PLEASE NOTE: There is no designated event parking or specified parking lot for the Park.

 

Parking is available on the streets surrounding the park and downtown area, including Broad Street, Oak Street, High Street, Railroad Avenue, Narragansett Avenue, and other area streets so long as you do not park in front of an open business, you do not block a driveway of an open or closed business, you do not block a fire hydrant or dumpster, and there are no street signs telling you not to park there. Additionally, a public parking lot is located next to the Post Office adjacent to the Park on High Street and a covered parking garage is located across the street from the Park on Broad Street.

FESTIVAL RULES

To ensure safe and peaceful enjoyment of the Park for all, the following rules and guidelines must be observed:

 

• No smoking, alcohol or illegal drugs, littering or defacing of property, or inappropriate behavior

• Low backed chairs and blankets are allowed, but must not take up a large space and cannot be placed in the no chair areas in front of each stage

• Chairs and blankets can only be placed in the Park the morning of the event and not the night prior. Anything left overnight will be discarded

• Tents, umbrellas and shade structures are prohibited

• Bags and coolers cannot be left unattended in the park at anytime, and may be subject to search

• No glass bottles are permitted in the Park

• All pets must be leashed, and owners or handlers must pick up after their pets

• No plastic tarps to cover the ground may be used

• Enjoy the flowers and trees; do not pick, alter or climb them

• Do not feed the waterfowl- it is illegal under Rhode Island state law

• Do not obstruct walkways or paths

• Grilling or barbecuing is prohibited

• Fireworks and weapons of any kind are prohibited

ATM

There are no on-site ATM machines at the festival, however, there is an accessible ATM located across the street from the Park at the Washington Trust branch on 23 Broad Street.

FOOD

There will be food and beverage carts and vendors on-site. Outside food, coolers and picnics can be brought into the park as well, but please remember that alcohol is prohibited inside the Park.
